The holiday residence complex is located in Psathopyrgos, a seaside settlement in the Municipality of Patras. It overlooks the seafront directly, offering unobstructed views of both the sea that stretches out in front of it and the mountain that embraces the settlement. The building, integrated into the coastal zone of the village, coexists harmoniously with the existing built environment of the coastline and the rest of the settlement.

The design is based on the redefinition of the architecture of the traditional older buildings of Psathopyrgos, which have been preserved, within the modern framework of “living”. Elements such as the pitched roof, the proportion of the openings, the lintels and the sometimes exposed stone and sometimes plastered masonry are reconstructed and reproduced. As a result, a dialogue is created between the old and the new, with references to the materialities and morphology of these buildings, while serving the needs of modern living.

The building, morphologically and functionally, is expressed as a connection of two identical two-story building units with a pitched pitched roof, each of them. The volume of the single building recedes on the second floor and on the small roofs that remain uncovered, a planted roof is created both for ecological reasons and to harmonize the building with the natural environment in which it is located.

In total, the building houses seven summer residences. On the ground floor there are three residences with independent entrances and gardens, two of which have a capacity of 60 sq.m. at the back and the third 100 sq.m. in front of the sea. On the first floor there are four open-plan 2-level residences ranging in size from approximately 100 sq.m. each, which ensure a privileged view of both the seafront and the natural mountainous terrain
